Kim Robinson
Kim Robinson has developed a reputation as a leading figure
in manual therapy education. He was formerly a lecturer and
clinical teacher on the Postgraduate Diploma in Manipulative
Therapy programme at Curtin University of Technology for
many years before establishing Manual Concepts. He now
conducts a variety of lectures and clinical programmes
around the world. Kim is an active member of the Australian
Physiotherapy Association and the Musculoskeletal
Physiotherapists Association of Australia. Kim is an
accredited teacher of the Mulligan Concept. His research
interests and publications include manual diagnosis,
cervicogenic headache, neck pain and the application of the
Mulligan Concept. |

Toby Hall
Toby Hall gained his undergraduate qualification in physiotherapy in
the UK in 1985. He travelled to Perth to complete the
postgraduate Diploma in Manipulative Therapy at Curtin
University in 1990. He then went on to complete a Master of
Science degree by thesis in 1996.
He has
received his PhD from the Curtin University of Technology in
2010. He has taught on Curtin
University's Manual Therapy programs, including the Master
in Manipulative Therapy for many years and has lectured
extensively within Australia and many overseas countries. He
is extensively involved in research at Curtin University as
well as many teaching commitments. Toby has presented at
many conferences, published a range of book chapters as well
as articles related to research in the area of neural tissue
dysfunction, cervicogenic headache and the Mulligan Concept.

Deborah Falla
|
Deborah Falla received her PhD in
Physiotherapy from The University of Queensland,
Australia in 2003. In 2005 she was awarded
Fellowships from the International Association for
the Study of Pain and the National Health and
Medical Research Council of Australia to undertake
postdoctoral research at the Center for
Sensory-Motor Interaction, Aalborg University,
Denmark. Since 2007 she is an Associate Professor at
the Faculty of Engineering, Science and Medicine,
Department of Health Science and Technology of
Aalborg University, Denmark. Her research focus
involves the integration of neurophysiological and
clinical research to evaluate neuromuscular control
of the spine in people with chronic pain. In this
field, she received the Delsys Prize for
Electromyography Innovation in 2004. Her research
interests also include investigation of the
mechanisms that underpin the efficacy of therapeutic
exercise for the rehabilitation of neck pain
disorders.

Alfio Albasini
Alfio
Albasini is a physiotherapist who graduated in 1991
at the School of Physiotherapy in Basel Switzerland.
In 1995 he did his Post Graduate Diploma in Manual
Therapy in Perth WA, at the Curtin University of
Technology. Since 1996 he treated his patients in
his own clinic in Bellinzona, Ticino Switzerland,
and he teaches, part-time, Manual Therapy at the
School of Physiotherapy, USI, Universitŕ della
Svizzera Italiana. Since 1997, after being assistant
for three years in Zurzach, Centre of Post Graduate
Courses in Switzerland, for the Maitland Concept, he
became officially McConnell Instructor. He now teach
the McConnell Concept in different countries in the
world, like South America, South Africa, Middle East
and Europe in four five different languages. Since
1999, he is Instructor at the Swiss Association of
Soccer (SFV) as an expert in physiotherapy of sport
medicine. Since 2006, Alfio is personal assistant
of Michael Shacklock, NDS, Neurodynamic Solutions,
in different workshops in the world. Alfio is member
of Research and Development (Clinical Excellence
Circle), Otto Bock Health Care since 2006. In 2005
and in 2009 he was the principal chairman of the
scientific committee and organizer of the first and
second world Manual Therapy Congress, “The Spine”
held in Roma, Italy. He has been invited
internationally in numerous congresses in the world
as a speaker and for different workshops and
seminars.

Martina
Moog-Egan
Martina Moog-Egan has completed
a Postgraduate Diploma in Manipulative Therapy and a Master
of Science Degree at Curtin University of Technology in
Perth, Western Australia. From 1999 to 2003, Martina worked
with an interdisciplinary team in a Cognitive-Behavioural
Therapy program for chronic pain patients at the Pain
Management and Research Centre, University of Sydney. She
teaches pain physiology and pain management in physiotherapy
schools and universities in various countries. She is a
member of the NOI Group (www.noigroup.com) teaching staff.
Since 2000 she and Max Zusman (Curtin University of
Technology) have developed and taught the course 'The
Problem Pain Patient' together. |

Richard
Weissmann
|
Ricky
Weissmann graduated in 1992 with a state diploma in
Physical Therapy in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. After
that he did further study and training in orthopedic
manual therapy (OMT).
He acquired the fundamental and practical experience
for the treatment of myofascial pain syndromes
during the six years that he worked with Dr. Beat
Dejung, MD, pioneer in manual trigger point therapy
in Switzerland. Together with his business partner
Christian Gröbli he manages three physical therapy
practices in Winterthur. In the out-patient
department, mainly patients with
neuro-musculo-skeletal dysfunctions are treated.
Since 1993, he regularly trains physical therapists
and physicians in the trigger point therapy and dry
needling. He headed the Society for Myofascial
Trigger Point Therapy (IMTT) in Switzerland as
founding president from 1994 to 2003. He is the
author of several articles and book chapters as well
as co-author of the book “Trigger Point Therapy”. He
is co-founder of the David G. Simons Academy and he
is also co-founder and president of the Swiss Dry
Needling Association (DVS).

Francisco Neto
Francisco Neto
gained his undergraduate qualification in
physiotherapy in Portugal. He received his MSc
in Physiotherapy from the University of Brighton
(UK) in 2003. He travelled to Perth, Australia,
to complete the Certificate in Orthopaedic
Manual Therapy at the Curtin University of
Technology, in 2004. He is a guest lecturer at
several MSc in Manual Therapy at different
universities in Portugal and Spain and he works
at his private practice in part-time. Francisco
is also an accredited Mulligan Concept teacher
and teaches short courses in Portugal, Spain,
France, Switzerland and Malta. His research interests
include the Mulligan Concept, cervicogenic
headaches and ankle sprains.
